I’ve never blogged or had any strong inclination to do so, but I recently convinced myself it might be a “fun” way to spend some of my free time while still bettering myself academically. So, I made this website and I’m going to give academic-blogging a go. I’m not entirely sure what I’ll blog about, but I have some general ideas.
My main goals for this blog include writing R tutorials, summarizing interesting articles, and reporting results of casual research studies I conduct (e.g., pilot studies). I don’t plan to divulge a lot of personal feelings or opinions beyond those goals. Maybe I’ll write about life as a Ph.D. student occassionally, but I’m currently 2 years in to my doctoral program and I don’t have much to complain, brag, or otherwise blog about.
Ultimately, this blog will be a place to practice writing, teaching, and engaging with ideas outside of my own unorganized thoughts.
I probably don’t need this, but just in case:
